Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire, a quiet area located in The West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" location. The West Island has a lot of communities. Many who've never been aware of it frequently think it is a separate, west-facing island. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. However, it's not the case. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. Her first ambition was to be a dancer. But, a growing spurt caused her to outgrow her dance partners she had. In an article published by Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was six feet and one inch tall. Once I outgrew male partners at that point, I gave up. Some former dancers switch into acting. In Brugel's situation, it was a suggestion from the drama instructor at her high school who led her in the right direction. It was the teacher who recommended she pursue a role for the annual school production. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the main role in Anne of Green Gables after she had a go at. The show was granted the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program, where she graduated from the program in 2000, earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. The career of Brugel spans more than 20 years and she's performed in more than 60 shows, both on big screens and on smaller ones. The most well-known role she played was the one of Rita (pictured in the below photo) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in the Handmaid's Tale the series filmed over ten years ago.
